- Defines legal and other requirements in the area of occupational risk management; - Characterizes key steps of the occupational risk management process and understands logical link between them; - Describes key hazards (risks) in the workplace and explains prevention principles of occupational injuries and diseases; - Applies selected techniques for assessing occupational risks; - Proposes and defends measures to ensure OSH; - Elaborate internal documentation of occupational risk management.

Subject syllabus:

1st EU Directive 89/391. Prevention of risks, the impact of the amendment No. 155/2000 Coll MD. The legal obligation to prevent risks. 2nd Risk assessment. Graphic display - flow chart of the risk assessment. The limit values machinery. Hazard identification. Risk estimation. Risk assessment. 3rd Safety and security measures. What is security. Acceptability of risk. Residual risk. Decisions on acceptability of risk. 4th Basic terms to identify hazards. Mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, electrical hazard, risk noise and vibration, radiation danger, extreme temperatures, from design flaws psychophysiological perspective. 5th Physiologically inappropriate movements and shape of the operation. Long-term forced posture. Disproportionate burden of sight. Facing tough in operation, control and monitoring equipment. Excessive loads of attention. Deficiencies in the color adjustment tools. Adverse weather conditions. 6th Dangerous properties of machines, equipment, materials and media. Mechanical hazards. Basic principles of protection against mechanical hazards danger.
