History of Occupational safety and health (OSH). Current concept of OSH. Multidisciplinarity of OSH. Position of OSH within the "Safety and Security". OSH and other disciplines within safety and security (process safety, fire protection, crisis management and emergency planning, etc.). Specializations in OSH (technical safety, occupational hygiene and ergonomics, management of hazardous chemicals, explosion protection, etc.). Key OSH principles. OSH legal framework. OSH organization on international, European, national and enterprise level. Role, knowledge and skills of OSH professionals. Professional qualification in OSH. Information sources in OSH.
