Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to gain basic knowledge of the creation of technical documentation and the function of machine parts, shaft couplings, pressure vessels, pipes, fittings, pumps and compressors. Students will learn to work with technical documentation. At the same time, they will gain a basic overview of engineering materials, their properties and testing. They will also gain an overview of fasteners and connections, bearings, shafts and shaft couplings, their stress, static and especially dynamic. They will also have an overview of mechanical rotary transmissions, pressure vessels, pipes, fittings, pumps and compressors.
