Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course is focused on the system of safety assessment of non-food products in the EU. The aim of the course is to gain an orientation in the basic principles of the procedure of assessing the conformity of the product with the requirements of technical regulations and standards and their application to specific products in the given conditions of industrial operations.
After completing the course, the student will be able to determine whether the safety assessment of the product meets the requirements of EU technical regulations and whether the content of the accompanying documentation provides sufficient information to determine the safe conditions of its use. The student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge both from the position of the manufacturer and from the position of the user. Testing and certification procedures are demonstrated on specific products, representing selected product sectors.
