The objective of supervised practical training in the given field is the attendance of a student at selected firms, companies and organizations in the extent of required number of hours so that the student’s theoretical knowledge may be confronted with routine operation.

Summary
Professional practice in the company will allow students to experience the work of a health and safety specialist. Students will apply specific knowledge and skills in selected areas of occupational safety and health during professional practice. They will also develop their professionalism, communication skills and understanding in the areas of safety, health, environment and ethics
in a workplace. The internship will take place under the guidance of a supervisor - an experienced HSE professional - in the form of a project tailored to the student.

Subject syllabus:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Perform a number of practical tasks in the field of safety, health and / or environment;
2. Apply relevant international legislation and principles of good practice to a wide range of scenarios;
3. Prepare a report or other internal document suitable for submission to the competent authorities;
4. Communicate professionally through presentations and messages using language specific to the given discipline.
