Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Aftrer the course, student will be able to deal with the theory of risk analysis from the point of view of industrial risks, risks of major accidents, natural disasters ands crisis management. Student will be able to organize his/her work according steps os risk analysis under principles of ISO 31000 or other relevant norm ant to employ qualitative, semiquantitative and quantitative methods of risk analysis.

Summary

Risk as phenomenon and thereticalbackground of risk analysis. General methods an methodology of risk analysis. Deterministic and probabilistic approaches to risk analysis. Proces of risk analysis - danger identification, scenario setting, risk assessment, risk evaluation, risk management. Tool of risk analysis: control lists, index methods, complex methods Overview and application of metods: Dow F+EI, Dow CEI, FTA, ETA, HAZOP, CPQRA, MOSAR. Barrier principle and its use. Chronic risks analysis, ERA.
