Summary

The course is intended for doctoral students interested in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to the field of safety. The subject focuses on methods, techniques and approaches to preventing and managing large-scale emergencies and crisis situations. Students will be able to assess complex risks in specific areas of safety (i.e. in the area of ​​civil protection, in the area of ​​fire protection, in the area of ​​safety and health protection at work, including risks arising from technological processes and in the area of ​​physical security) and on their basis to select and apply the most suitable security measures in the area of ​​prevention, response and restoration of the territory. In connection with the topic of the dissertation, case studies will be carried out in specific areas using both model and real situations in the field of safety and security in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Subject syllabus:

Předmět je určen pro doktorandy se zájmem o komplexní a multidisciplinární přístup k oblasti bezpečnosti. Předmět se zaměřuje na metody, techniky a přístupy k předcházení a zvládání mimořádných událostí velkého rozsahu a krizových situací. Studenti budou schopni posuzovat komplexní rizika ve specifických oblastech bezpečnosti (tj. v oblasti ochrany území, v oblasti požární ochrany, v oblasti bezpečnosti a ochrany zdraví při práci včetně rizik vyplývající z technologických procesů a v oblasti fyzické bezpečnosti) a na jejich základě vybírat a aplikovat nejvhodnější bezpečnostní opatření v oblasti prevence, reakce i obnovy území. V návaznosti na téma disertační práce budou ve specifických oblastech realizovány případové studie s využitím jak modelových, tak reálných situacích v oblasti bezpečnosti v České republice a zahraničí.
