Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

After completing the course, the student will know the philosophy of creating dangerous concentrations of flammable clouds of dust, gases, and vapors of flammable liquids, which can occur in technological processes, both under normal operating conditions and under non-standard conditions (eg equipment damage). The student will be able to define the risk of explosive atmosphere and apply appropriate measures to eliminate it. Understanding the possibility of initiating explosive files will allow the student to be able to apply preventive measures to reduce them. Based on the analysis and evaluation of the fire and explosion hazard, the student will be able to define appropriate measures to limit the possibility of fire and explosion flame spread. Students will be able to apply acquired knowledge to selected technological processes, their risks and possibilities of preventive protection.
