Summary

The subject deepens students´ knowledge in a dynamically developing field of study – prevention of extraordinary events in territorial entities. Information is provided on security management system and quantitative risk assessment of extraordinary events in relation to health and lives of population, property and environment. Requirements for risk analysis of territorial entities are analyzed in more detail, including practical examples of quantitative risk assessment. The subject includes the outline of favourite Dutch approach published in “Purple Book”, a newly developed European procedure called ARAMIS and risk assessment during transport of hazardous substances.
