The course is focused on obtaining an overview of the use of GIS applications in safety engineering in modelling selected real world problems. The graduate is able to evaluate the acquired theoretical knowledge when designing the possibilities of using GIS in practical crisis management tasks or in connection with the focus on other areas of safety engineering.

Předmět je zaměřen na získání přehledu o využití aplikací GIS v bezpečnostním inženýrství při modelování vybraných problémů reálného světa. Absolvent dokáže získané teoretické poznatky zhodnotit při návrhu možností využití GIS v praktických úkonech krizového řízení či v souvislosti se zaměřením na jiné oblasti bezpečnostního inženýrství.

2. Using GIS to solve spatial analytical tasks.
3. Network analyzes. Resource allocation and path search.
4. Site Location Planning of IRS Components and Response Circuits.
5. Modeling and visualization of floods.
6. Modeling the spread of dangerous substances in the atmosphere.
7. Information support of the dispatching centers of the IRS components.
8. The role of GIS in emergency call centers and operational management of the Integrated Rescue System components.
9. GIS applications to support search and intrusion of IRS components.
10. Specific GIS applications for the work of security components (search, crime prediction, etc.).
11. Use of global navigation and positioning systems for data acquisition, navigation and object localization.
12. Application of GIS mobile technologies.
13. Satellite imagery and systems for rapid response by satellite sensing in crisis situations.
