Students will
- gain basic knowlege necessary to predict consequnces of the representative scenarios of the emergencies
- learn how to model consequences to the emergencies using state of the art modeling programs

Cílem výuky je seznámit studenty s postupy modelování průběhu vybraných typů mimořádných událostí přírodního nebo antropogenního charakteru. Studenti také získají představu o možnostech odhadu škod na majetku, popř. území způsobených modelovanými scénáři.

1. Introductory lecture – terminology, model typology
2. Dangerous materials and substances – dispersion, toxic effects, explosions and BLEVE effect
3. Floods – impact on human and property
4. Methods for financial estimation of the damages
5. Fire – heat flow and its effect on humans and property
6. Windstorms and earthquakes
7. Other types of disasters (land or rock slides)
