Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the basic division of the Ministry of Health and the management system so that they are able to manage the issues of planning crisis preparedness at health care providers and public health protection authorities,to handle specific restrictions when preparing the documantation and applicable legislation.

Předmět je zaměřen na organizaci a řízení resortu zdravotnictví, úkoly resortu v krizovém řízení a systém plánování krizové připravenosti u poskytovatelů zdravotních služeb a orgánů ochrany veřejného zdraví. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována problematice medicíny hromadných neštěstí a katastrof. Studenti rovněž získají informace k poskytování první pomoci.

Subject syllabus:
1. Healthcare system in the Czech Republic and mutual cooperation of its entities, terminology
2. Regional emergency service and its tasks and Tasks of the Ministry of Health in crisis management
3. Risk analysis in terms of health consequences, organization and management of crisis preparedness in health care
4. Traumatological plans, evacuation plans of hospitals and protection of public health
5. Disaster medicine, disaster terminology and typology
6. Types of injuries in mass CBRN disasters and disasters, classification of patients according to the principles of emergency medicine, principles of treatment, special equipment, decontamination, prevention of the spread of diseases
7. First aid in situations of immediate danger to life
