Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is introduces the basic concepts, mutual relations and systemic view of risk theory. Special attention is paid to the organization's management, the position of the crisis manager and “Business Continuity Management” in the context of the organization's crisis management. Students will be able to proces "Business Continuity Plan" organization.

Summary

The course introduces the basic concepts, interrelationships, and systemic view of risk theory, risk management in crisis management, standards, and selected techniques for risk assessment. Special attention is focused on the management of the organization, the position of the crisis manager, and "Business Continuity Management" in the context of the crisis management of the organization. As part of the course, the "Business Continuity Plan" of the organization will be prepared.

Subject syllabus:

1. Conceptual and strategic starting points for reducing the occurrence and consequences of disasters and their relationship to ensure the security of the organization. 2. Basic concepts and interrelationships in risk theory. 3. System view of risk theory. 4. Risk management in crisis management. 5. Critical infrastructure. 6. Business continuity management (general principles). 7. Introduction of business continuity management into the organization's system. 8. Organization of business continuity. 9. Business Continuity Management in the context of crisis management of the organization. 10. Organizational management, risk management, and security management in organizations. 11. The position and tasks of the crisis manager in organizations.
