Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course is part of vocational courses aimed at increasing technical knowledge and organizational skills necessary for successful management of natural emergencies and ways to prevent these crises. Acquaints students with the competencies and rescue services of government in preventing and dealing with crisis situations of natural character.

Summary
History of natural disasters, case studies. Earthquakes, landslides,
solifluction. Extreme meteorological phenomena, floods and inundations
(including extraordinary). Winter climatic conditions - ice floods, snowfall,
avalanches, frost, glaze. Forest and natural fires. Climatic changes and crises
induced by them. Interaction between natural and technological disasters.
Natural disaster prevention, mitigation of consequences and coping with natural
crises. Logistics in emergency situations and the restoration of functions of
the affected area.
