Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Important objective of the course Criminology for Engineers is that students get acquainted with the participation of criminology and various missions as a scientific discipline, acquire orientation in criminological statistics, acquire knowledge of the main causes and prevention of various types of crime, including options to prevent, understand the basic principles of penology and criminal policy of the state and were able to proactively respond to criminological recommendations for theory and practice.

Summary
The course Criminology for Engineers is a member for the general part and the special part. The knowledge base of the general part deals with the influence of criminology and the importance of criminology in the system of sciences, criminology tasks, history and development of basic criminological directions, contains knowledge about dynamics, structure and state of crime, takes into account criminal phenomenology and etiology including criminogenic factors and criminogenic situations. The content of this part is the study of criminal personality, knowledge from the field of victimology, control and prevention of crime, the basics of penology and criminal policy of the state. A special part of criminology is focused on selected types of crime, such as juvenile delinquency, violent crime, property and economic crime, women's crime and other forms of crime, including their phenomenology and etiology.
