Students will learn about the basic principles of mechanics, optics and acoustics and can apply these principles to solve problems.

Summary

Foundation course consists characteristic properties of matter, physical fields, radiation and technical measurements. The student has knowledge about basic principles of mechanics, optics and acoustics and can apply these principles to solve problems. Students are familiar with the possibilities of using physical principles in the field of security technology, knows basic physical quantities used in safety practices, including understanding their mutual relationship. Emphasis is placed on linking theoretical and practical aspects of the problems, ie. Physical principle function of the device, including the possibility of practical applications, analysis of specific issues of security technologies.

Subject syllabus:

1. Physical quantities in security practice. 2. Physical properties of substances. 3. Physical field. 4th Point and non-point sources of physical fields. 5th Acoustics, noise and noise field 6th electromagnetic radiation. 7. Optical system. 8. Technical measurement. 9. The Technical experiment. 10th Ionizing radiation sources, properties, detection. 11th Non-ionizing radiation, and detection properties. 12. Modern technologies and their risks. 13. Practical solutions to problems relating to security practices.
