Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main objectives of the course are to develop specific psychosocial theoretical knowledge and insights in the field of emergency management, including analysis of the causes of other accompanying manifestations, such as aggression, stress, fear, anxiety, panic, etc., including the ability to orientate oneself in mental hygiene and mental health in extreme situations.

Summary

The essence of the subject are extraordinary situations in the whole spectrum of its manifestations and characteristics and their effect on humans, including a number of risk factors influencing behavior, reaction and internal experience in stressful conditions. This includes the effects of other side effects on the human body and health, the ability to quickly make adequate decisions and assess the situation and analysis of all surrounding socio-psychological influences and manifestations (aggression, anxiety, fear, stress, PTSD, individual and group behavior). Part of the behavior and influencing of all social systems is also crisis communication and crisis intervention and evaluation of its consequences and effects.

Subject syllabus:

Překlad (česky > anglicky) 1st Initial concepts, classification and content Basic knowledge of the workings of the human psyche, social behavior, influence social groups on behavior, communication in the traumatic situation in life 2nd Stressful situations, stress job stressors, stress and workload, working conditions and performance decision in stressful situations, adaptation and adjustment mechanisms, maladaptace, defense mechanisms 3rd Fear, anxiety, panic, conflict, frustration, deprivation Classification of concepts, causes, options for coping. 4th The attack, anger and aggression in response to stressful situations The basic theoretical background of aggression, anger and aggressive behavior, some forms of socially pathological behavior as a result of lived trauma 5th Post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of extreme experience Criteria for diagnosing PTSD, possible solutions 6th Basic principles for the provision of basic assistance in the field of mental health in extreme situations 7th The importance of mental hygiene in pozásahové situation
