Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course: students are able to:
- describe the basic economic cathegories,
- think in independent and creative way about economic problems,
- explain the behaviour of consumers, households and firms
- understand, how the product markets and the labour and capital market work.
- analyze causes and consequences of market failures and to conceive the microeconomic role of the government.

Summary
The aim of the subject is to make the basis for students’ independent creative economic thinking. The main emphasis is laid on the behaviour of consumers, households, firms and government. Attention is also paid to the labour market and capital market.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Studentovi bude udělen zápočet, pokud získá z kontrolní písemky a zápočtového testu v celkovém součtu minimálně 18 bodů z maximálního počtu 35 bodů. Kontrolní písemka bude psána v polovině semestru a je hodnocena maximálně 15 body. Dalších maximálně 20 bodů (z celkových 35) lze získat ze zápočtového testu na konci semestru.
V případě, že student nezíská za kontrolní písemku a zápočtový test alespoň 18 bodů, může absolvovat v opravném termínu znovu zápočtový test (který bude hodnocen opět maximálně 20 body). Získané body z tohoto opravného testu budou přičteny k dosaženým bodům z kontrolní písemky.
Předmět je ukončen písemnou zkouškou za maximálně 65 bodů, minimálně však 26 bodů.
