Summary

In the course the students will understand the nature of economic policy, get acquainted with its chosen types and relations between them, will realize the influence of economic policy on the microeconomic sphere (companies, households), will acquire basic skills to evaluate current economic policy, its main problems and impacts of partial changes in economic policy.

Economic policy, influence of institutions and expectations on its form and effectiveness 3. Growth policy, stabilization policy 4. Fiscal policy 5. Monetary policy 6. Foreign-trade policy 7. Competition policy 8. Structural policy 9. Regional policy 10. Employment Policy 11. Redistribution policy 12. Social policy 13. Environmental policy 14. Economic policy in selected countries (USA, Great Britain, Sweden, Japan, Czech Republic)
