Educational objective of this course is the ability of students - Self-analytical thinking on the substance of economic policy - Understand the meaning and nature of economic policy instruments - Understand and analyze competition - Critically analyze and assess the competition in the Czech Republic and EU

Summary

The course is about the nature and main objectives of competition policy. Development of theory and practical policy for the protection market. Concentration monopolization of the economy. Conceptual ideas to organize competitive economy. Causes and forms of restriction of competition. Statism and dynamism of competition. Tools of competition policy. Ban on cartels, abuse of surveillance of market dominance, merger control. History and the specific form of antitrust policy, the statutory regulations. Competition in the European Union. Protecting competition in the CR.
