Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- To see the trends in the competitive environment of Czech firms - to know organization's performance measurement tools, - be able to apply knowledge of benchmarking in practice - to formulate goals and indicators for separate perspectives of business performance in the concept of BSC - understand the need for self-organization and be able to promote the idea of ​​continuous improvement, - be prepared to engage in the implementation of performance measurement and evaluation organization.

Summary

Provide information to obtain the necessary knowledge for business performance management. This is the definition of the concept of company performance, defining its criteria, the procedure and methods for analyzing business performance and creating a system of measures to ensure positive change within the strategic business performance.

Subject syllabus:

1st The concept of business performance and its kriteriálního definition: - Characteristics of different approaches to the concept of business performance. - Defining criteria and indicators for performance measurement and evaluation enterprise. 2nd The procedure for the analysis of company performance: - System performance analysis steps for the company. - System structuring and business information for the purpose of measuring the level of and evaluate its performance. 3rd Applicable methods for measuring and evaluating the level of business performance: - Characteristics of methods and analytical tools for measuring and assessing business performance (BSC method, EFQM Excellent Model, Net Present Value growth opportunities (PVGO) and other value methods.) - Comparison of application possibilities and benefits of the applicable information methods to assess performance. 4th Procedure for application of methods of measurement and evaluation of business performance: - The application procedure for measuring and evaluating business performance using particular method. - Programme for integrated performance measurement and evaluation in management system. 5th Presentation of case studies, performance measurement and evaluation firm using different methods. 6th Principles and practices in performance management: - Formation of management decisions (actions) to address deficiencies in business performance and its improvement. - Dealing with issues of employee motivation for participation in Performance Management enterprise.
