Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- Know the basic rules related to safety and health at work. - Demonstrate self-build organizatio regulations in connection with work and health safety, conditions of employment. - Ability to keep records of accidents at work and know the rules of liability for damages for work injuries and occupational diseases. - Apply methods of risk analysis and be able to assess risk. - Being able to anticipate and prevent negative environmental impacts associated with business activities in tourism.

Subject syllabus:

1. Introduction to - Basic concepts - The importance of the subject 2. Labor discipline and working order - Training employees on safety and health at work - The duties of employees - The responsibilities of managers - Work order 3. Ensuring safety and health at work - Basic principles, definition of safety - Risk prevention - Competence - Selected and dedicated technical equipment - Duties of employers - The rights and obligations of employees - The role of trade union bodies, eventually. Council workers - State technical supervision 4. Damage to health and property, compensation for damages - Preventing damage - Investigation, recording and registration of occupational accidents and incidents - Liability for accidents at work and occupational diseases - Compensation for pain, aggravated social use and loss of earnings 5. Fire-fighting measures - Basic terminology - Causes of fire and the conditions for its spread - Fire Plans (emergency and evacuation plans) - High-rise buildings and their fire plans - Mandatory fire protection measures and equipment buildings 6. Health rules and regulations - Hygiene accommodation - Hygiene of production space - Hygiene dining room - Personal hygiene service workers 7. Risk management - Preparation and assessment of risks at work - Categorization of hazard risk - The process of risk analysis and risk assessment methodologies 8. Ecology accommodation and catering facilities - The importance of environmental protection - Charter of the environment of hotels and restaurants - Environmental operating individual centers - Developing actions to protect the environment
