Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students will get an overview of the basic historical line of Czech development. Historical events of each individual period are given into connection with the world history. The future tourism professionals will also get acquainted with some important archaeological discoveries and cultural heritage of given periods.

Summary
Interpretation of the Czech historical development from its dawn to the present; the main emphasis is placed on characteristics of individual periods and explanation of political and economical impact upon our country.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Přečíst a zpracovat ve formě seminární práce libovolnou monografii z českých dějin. Obsah knihy napsat formou výtahu, v závěru připojit vlastní názor na danou problematiku ( co studenta zaujalo, překvapilo …)
Při ústní zkoušce prokáže přehled daného učiva, pochopení historických období, shrne nejdůležitější fakta, orientuje se na časové ose, vysvětlí příčiny a důsledky nejdůležitějších událostí.
