1. Define careers and identify the factors that influence them, as well as the different types of careers available. 2. From both a personal and organizational perspective, explain career management and its importance. 3. Discuss various individual career management strategies and career assessment methods that can aid in personal and professional development. 4. Discuss current trends in career management, such as the importance of lifelong learning, improving the quality of working life, promoting employee well-being, and addressing age management issues. 5. To better prepare students for entering the job market, provide guidance and support in areas such as career exploration, job search strategies, and professional networking.

Summary

The objective of this course is to shed light on the evolving nature of career challenges and to examine current and conventional methods of career development. It delves into both individual and organizational perspectives on career planning and management. The course also covers novel topics like diversity in gender and culture, as well as contemporary themes like lifelong learning, work-life balance, and wellbeing. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the skills necessary to manage their career and personal development, including job searching. The course also examines various career assessment criteria and the root causes of career difficulties, while emphasizing the importance of a strategic approach to career development.
