1.To explain background of the changes of a career issue in global changing context.
2.To compare traditional and contemporary approaches to a career.
3.To explicate and analyze fundamental principles of individual and organizational career development planning and management.
4.To explicate an issue of career assessment and causes of career problems.
5.To give reasons for the need of a strategic approach to a career.
6.To prepare students for a job search.

Summary
The aim of the subject is explanation of changes regarding a career issue which are reflected in traditional and contemporary approaches to career development. Main factors influencing career development are analyzed on a background of a transition to a post-industrial era. Individual and organization approach to career development is explained and analyzed. The course enhances students’ skills for a job search. Both an issue of a career assessment and causes of career problems are explicated. The importance of a strategic approach to career development is emphasized.
