• Explain the importance of people management and development in the context of global changes • Analyze the influence of individual and situational factors on leadership styles • Compare main leadership styles and evaluate their suitability of application • Explain principles of global leadership • Evaluate the importance and influence of organizational culture and national culture on leadership styles and people development • Compare the methods relating to people development and education • Explain the methods concerning soft data gathering and analyzing • Explain influence of people management and development on organizations competitiveness

Summary

The course explains the importance of people management and development in the context of global changes. Individual and situational factors influencing leadership styles are analyzed. Suitability of main leadership styles is compared and evaluated. Basic principles of global leadership are explained. The influence of organizational and national culture on leadership style and people development is assessed. Main development and educational methods are compared. The course includes explanation of methods related to soft data gathering and analyzing. The influence of people management and development on organization competitiveness is explained.
