Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

1.To familiarize students with key terminology in planning, organizing and managing the process of production and service. 2.To explain the basic tools, methods and procedures applied in the management of the production system. 3.To show possibilities of practical implementation of the managements' tools and methods. 4.To learn to quantify and evaluate the resulting economic effects in relation to optimization their process and resources.

Summary

The aim of the subject is to to bring students the basic knowledge of definitions, structure, methods, managing and planning in the field of processes of production and services and therefore set up the base of knowledge and information for the next subjects related to economical system of the company and its management. Students will be introduced with key concepts and aspects of the management of production and services, particularly in the production structure, its organization and planning, standardization, quality control and human resources. Within lectures are explained basic tools, methods and procedures of the production system and the possibility in solving problem situations in practice. Students will also learn to evaluate the resulting economic effects of management processes in production and service relating to the optimization of their progress and resources.

- Theoretical basics of production and services, the nature, structure - Characteristics of production management and service management, basic functions, development trends - Business management of production operations, specifics of service management - Ensuring production activities of the enterprise and company of services, plan of development of production or services - Innovation processes and management of business opportunities - Preparation of production or process of services, content and structure, creation and technology assessment - Standardization in production management - Business planning, characteristics, types of plans, specifications - Aggregate production planning, capacity planning of material and human resources - Organization of production and services, the organizational structure in the company and their use in different types of production - Operative management of the production process - New methods of production management and services
