Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

1.To identify new roles of personnel departments and human resource specialists in organizations. 2.To clarify human resource strategy and to explain human resource planning. 3.To explain the process of competency model creating 4.To describe the recruitment and selection process of employees and to design appropriate methods for selecting the given positions. 5.To clarify the process of placement and adaptation of employees. 6.To explain process of training and development of employees and to outline the steps of training and development cycle. 7.To clarify talent management process and to evaluate its benefits. 8.To formulate aims of performance appraisal and to design a combination of appraisal methods for chosen positions. 9.To explain the principles of contingent pay and to conclude its advantages and disadvantages. 10.To clarify the issuee of human capital management. 11.To define scope of managing employee relations and to explain processes of employee relations. 12.To conclude negatives rising staff turnover in the company and recommend possible ways of measuring employees leaving the company.

Summary

The aim of this subject is to deeply introduce students with the issues of human resource management. At the beginning of the course, students are introduced to the new role of HR departments and human resource specialists, with strategy creation and human resource policy. Subsequently are to the students in detail explained individual HR activities, including the roles of line managers and human resource specialists. Considerable attention is paid to talent management, employee remuneration and human capital management.
