Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

1. To create a comprehensive overview of the requirements for a manager of a small family business. 2. Identify the pros and cons of independent entrepreneurship, highlighting the features of family business. 3. Know how to set up a sole proprietorship. 4. Establish an LLC. 5. Convene and manage a general meeting of an LLC. 6. Draw up a business plan. 7. Carry out the administrative duties of an employer. 8. Manage the business of an individual and an LLC from an administrative perspective. 9. Optimise the provision of funding sources.

Summary

The aim of this subject is the creating a comprehensive overview of the small family manager activities. The combining and complementing the knowledge of other economic and managerial subjects is doing to achieve this aim. The specifications of family business are focused. Different requirements on managerial knowledge and skills in this case are emphasized. After completing the course the student is able to orientate himself in the requirements of the small business manager in the areas of beginning the business, course of business, sourcing, fulfillment of the conditions imposed by internal and external entities, student is able to consider the best way to business end, too. It accentuates the position of family business. These areas are dealt from a position of trademan and partner and executive Ltd. company positions.

- Small business – definition, task, specific features - Manager of small business (features, barriers, assumptions) - Family business I (history, status, definition, role of family, type, culture, life style, strengths and weaknesses) - Family business II (management - phase, concept, types, succession) - Trademan, employer (application of foundation, obligations, termination of existence) - Company Limited (application of foundation, leaving a companion, settlement share) - Family business III (cooperation within the family - an association, cooperative person) - Joint venture - a selection of partner - Management of the internal functioning of the family business - Financing options, support - Cooperation (alliance, clusters, networks) - Small business and the environment
