This course will equip you with the fundamental knowledge and skills to understand and apply sustainable management principles. You will learn to: Recognize key concepts and definitions in sustainable management. Analyze the evolution and components of corporate social responsibility, including the role of corporate values. Explore and utilize the core tools of sustainable management, with a focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors. Gain a foundational understanding of ESG reporting.

Summary

Sustainability in Business provides a rigorous exploration of the principles and practices essential for contemporary business operations. Acknowledging the critical role of sustainability across all economic domains, this course equips students with the analytical competencies required for a holistic assessment of environmental impacts throughout the product lifecycle. The curriculum adopts a structured progression, commencing with a comprehensive review of foundational theories, concepts, and definitions in sustainable business, with particular emphasis on their intersection with management and economic disciplines. The course then advances to the examination of corporate social responsibility, elucidating its theoretical framework and its implications for organizational conduct. Subsequently, students are introduced to and trained in the application of key analytical tools that support strategic sustainable management. Finally, the course provides an overview of contemporary reporting standards and practices within the realm of sustainable business.
