Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

1.To gain a broader and deeper information within the general management of the issue of managerial work in an international and multicultural environment. 2.To be able to compare, develop and apply the skills needed to successfully manage the process of management experienced cultural diversity. 3.To gain ability to analyze, interpret, characterize, and integrate the acquired knowledge in solving various model situations.

Summary

The aim of the subject is to improve their interpersonal skills students a deeper acquaintance with the processes, functions and procedures in the performance of managerial functions in a multicultural environment. International cooperation is at present the essence of economic but also social and cultural existence. The purpose of the course is therefore mastery approach to addressing managerial challenges in a multicultural environment in the form of the acquisition of intercultural competencies and skills of successful coping experienced cultural diversity.

Expected to have basic knowledge of general management, trends in modern management, human resources management and fundamentals of managerial psychology. General awareness of current global political, social and socio-cultural situation.

The issue of management in conditions of globalization, contemporary requirements for international organizations. 4. Managerial potential as a condition for managerial effectiveness 5. Managerial competence and interpersonal demands on managers 6. Change management in a multicultural environment 7. Definition of organizational effectiveness and its models 8. International human resource management, expatrianti 9. The importance and role of culture in management and the concept of multicultural management 10. Internationalization and globalization of organizations and multicultural engagement management 11. The concept of national culture and mentality, the elements of national culture 12. Significance of differences between national cultures for Managers 13. Models of national cultures and their use in managerial practice, national cultural differences, cultural dimension 14. The issue of dealing with cultural otherness and overcoming culture shock
