1. To identify basic ideas, opinions, principles, conceptions and theories relating to management area. 2. To characterize manager, his activities, roles and responsibilities. 3. To describe classical and modern schools of management. 4. To clarify the principle and main atributes of present management. 5. To list and to explain basic managerial functions - planning, decision-making, organizing, personnel management, leadership and motivation, control. 6. To clarify the principle and function of strategic management, ethics, corporate culture and social responsibility. 7. To clarify the principle of multinational and comparative management.

Manager, his characteristics and skills, roles. Levels of managers. 2.Evolution of management – classical and modern schools of management, present management. 3.Planning. Nature of planning. Types of plans. Steps in planning. Planning process. 4.Decision-making. Desision-making process. Types of decisions. Decisions under certainty, uncertainty and risk conditions. 5.Organizing. Definition of organizing and organization. Types of organizations and organization structures. 6.Personnel management. Definition and specification of personnel activities, its organizing. Role of managers in personnel activities delivery. 7.Leadership and motivation. Definitions. Leadership behaviour and styles. Motivations and motivators, satisfaction. Motivation theories and techniques. 8.Control. Basic control process. Critical control points and standards.
