Summary

The aim of subject is to clarify the systematic and analytical methods and techniques to improve the performance of organizations in various business fields. It is used generalized experience of successful business management in parallel with the theoretical knowledge. Next aim - besides the acquisition of theoretical knowledge - is the practical skills of selected management methods and techniques. The aim from the students ‘point of view is to gain a survey of the management techniques, to clarify the background of the methods and techniques, to practically apply selected techniques and assess barriers of techniques application.

1. Management and its functions, preparing instruments for realising of these functions 2. Analysis of notions: method and technique 3. Value analysis as the technique of management 4. Decision making and problem solving process, types of decision making problems 5. Search, choice and definition of problems (phase of preliminary diagnosis) 6. Evaluation of possible solutions and choice of problem solution 8. Phase of searching for solutions: - process of creative thinking - heuristic techniques 9. Prognostic methods 10. Methods of management by: - objectives - delegating authorisations - tasks - results - participation 11. Solving a problem (example)
