Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
1. To acquaint students with basic kinds of interpersonal communication.
2. To specify the basic aspects of communication in a sporting environment.
3. To explain the problems of communication within a sports club and in PR areas.
4. To explain the principles of mass-medial communication.
5. To analyze and interpret the principles of controversial communication.

Subject syllabus:
1. Defining basic terms, ways of communication, personality in the process of communication
2. Social perception, attitudes, formal authority, empathy, respect, manager's charisma, communication disorders
3. Verbal communication, styles
4. Nonverbal communication, forms
5. Communication environment in sport
6. Hearing and listening, negotiations, persuading, influencing, conflicts in communication, communication in sport
7. Sports manager's skills in motivating and leading people, dialogue, feedback
8. Presentation and communication in front of an audience, organizing speech in sport environment
9. Couching in sport management, marketing communication
10. Group communication, types of teams and team roles
11. Sports manager's actions – giving orders, persuading, supervision, criticising, coordinating
12. Problem communicaton – criticism, conflicts, discrimination, racism, etc.
13. Communication within a sports club, with the public
14. Mass media communication
