Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
1. Formulate the specifics of the communication environment of people with disabilities.
2. Categorize forms of disabilities of persons with disabilities.
3. Explain the principles of communication with the affected persons.
4. Evaluate approaches to the integration of target groups in the labor market and society.
5. Assess the possibility of organizing work activities in relation to the labor market.

Summary
The aim of this subject is to define specifics of communication environment, as people with disabilities are concern, categorize them, explain the rules of communication, evaluate approaches to integration of this group to the labour market and society and assess options as it comes to organization of working activities in relation to the labour market.
1.Development of communication and its theory in relation to the people with disabilities.
2.Categorization of people with disabilities – determination of the basic terms, general bases, fundamental legislative regulations, characteristics of people with disabilities, services system in the Czech Republic.
3.Social rehabilitation of the visually impaired – visual defects and their functional consequences, communication specifics, compensation aids and supportive means, effect on a personality.
4.The rules of communication of the hearing impaired – hearing defects and their functional consequences, communication specifics, barriers in environment, compensation aids and supportive means, assisting services, impact on a personality.
5.Approach towards the physical disability – physical defects and their functional consequences, communication specifics, barriers in environment, compensation aids and supportive means, assisting services, effect on a personality.
6.Specific learning disabilities, impaired communicative ability and chronic somatic disease – individual impairments and their functional consequences, communication specifics, barriers in environment, compensation aids and supportive means, assisting services, impact on a personality.
7.Labour market and employing the people with disabilities, determination and legislative frame, working rehabilitation, support when employing such people as the part of active employment policy of the Czech Republic, investment incentives, consulting, employers and people with disabilities, the rights and obligations of the employers and cooperation with the Labour Offices, statistics of such people in relation to the labour market.
8.Software systems and application for people with disabilities – IT technologies, websites versus people with disabilities, assisting technologies, mobile technologies.
