Cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty s metodami sběru dat a se základními informačními zdroji dat za regiony Dále bude pozornost věnována analýze výše uvedených dat pomocí základních statistických metod a následné prezentaci výsledků. Předmět je orientován prakticky a klade důraz na práci s reálnými daty. Studenti během semestru vypracují případovou studii pro zadaný region, kterou budou na závěr samostatně prezentovat. Při výuce se bude pracovat v programovém prostředí MS-Excel a SPSS.

Teaching methods

Summary

The aim of the course is to introduce data collecting methods and basic regional information sources. The course will then focus on the regional data analysis using basic statistical methods. Students should learn how to interpret gained results and how to present them. The course is practically oriented and emphasizes work with real data sets. Students will work up the case study for elected region and present their conclusions. Basic skills of using MS Excel, SPSS and MS PowerPoint should be also achieved.

1. Kvantitativní metody v regionalistice a zdroje dat 2. Základy práce s regionálními deskriptory 3. Pokročilejší práce s regionálními deskriptory 4. Prezentace regionálních deskriptorů 5. Klasifikace regionů 6. Analýza vztahů mezi deskriptory regionů 7. Analýzy a predikce vývoje regionů 8. Analýza odvětvové struktury v kraji 9. Zpracování dotazníkových šetřeních
