Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
In this course, students will gain expertise in important environmental protection problems in the most affected regions of the Czech Republic. Students' knowledge will be demonstrated by written essays on themes related to students' hometown area, or to an area of his/her own choice. A minimum of 35 points must be obtained in order to get a credit.

Summary
Regional policy’s main aim is to achieve harmonic regional economical development. With this development is also connected social and environmental development. Independent regional policy in Czech Republic has been realized not until the year of 1997. Presently the regional policy focuses mainly on answering the questions related to the environment protection problem in the most exposed regions in Czech Republic as well as with the question of protecting the environment in the context of entering the EU.
