Subject syllabus:
Meaning, concept and objectives of socio-economic analysis and forecasting.
The structure and content analysis, fundamental analysis indicators.
Statistics as a basic source of economic analysis. National Accounts.
Macroeconomic and regional analysis, their content and specifics.
Time series analysis. Empirical analysis of the business cycle.
SWOT analysis, its purpose, principles, possibilities and examples of use.
Description of regions. Descriptor, indicator, an integrated indicator, their characteristics. Create and shape indicators allow their inter-comparison.
Analysis of economic and social development of regions, regional disparities, inter-comparison.
Analysis of municipal, local ad-hoc surveys and ad-hoc analysis, the analytical profile of the municipal.
Subject forecasters, terminology, types of forecasts and forecasting methods.
Prognostic practice, the forecast information. Basic types of prediction, and evaluation of logical truth verification (verification of forecasts).
Forecasting methods and their classification. Selected prognostic method (extrapolation, reflective, intuitive, expert, econometric, etc.).
Examples of analysis and forecasts (the analysis for the creation of regional development programs, the creation of strategic urban development plans, analyzes and forecasts economic developments CR, etc.).
Exercise:
The purpose of the seminars is to acquaint students with the methods and analytical procedures, practice is on practical examples and verify the application possibilities of selected methods that are applicable at regional level.
Furthermore, to obtain the orientation of analytical forecasting approaches used in particular for shaping regional policy and implementation program of regional development activity.
The aim of exercise is also to teach students to analyze regions using mathematical and multivariate statistical methods.
The teaching will mainly work in the SPSS program.
