Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Get a detailed knowledge of the role and content of the thesis, develop a timetable for the procedure to define the problem to solve within a given topic. Prepare the first version of content main chapters, the concept of selected text and the list of compulsory and recommended literature. Students will be able to:
- recognise, arrange and connect the relevant parts of the knowledge of the topic,
- review and select the required literature,
- Identify and prepare the necessary data sources and methods to explore.
The aim of the course is:
- to learn of possible topic to be solved,
- to select and formulate the topic of the diploma thesis,
- to formulate the aim of the diploma thesis,
- to prepare syllabus of the diploma thesis.
Teaching methods
Individual consultations
Summary
refinement of the thesis topic and formulate possible solutions to the problem. Preliminary consultations are dedicated to the principles for the processing of the thesis, topic and refine the formulation of the problem to solve. Follow-up activities focus on the research process of literary sources, the first version to work with structures indicative proposal content, the possible methods applicable to the selected research topic and problem solved. The output object is the processing and presentation of the structure of the content of work, one of the best theoretical issue solved and review of the relevant literature.

Subject syllabus:
Are studied, discussed and solved problems related to the thesis.
1. The role and content of the thesis and the role of student.
2. Refining the theme of work under the proposed solution to the problem.
3. Creating structure content to work with the theme.
4. Searches necessary literature and selection of data sources and information.
5. Definition of problem solving, objectives or hypotheses.
6. The choice of methods for exploration, analysis and synthesis.
7. A report of one of the topic or prepare the necessary research.
