Students will be able to:
* discuss the typical features of contemporary societal-developmental processes with territorial connotations
* identify the principles of sustainable development
* explain the importance of creative and cultural industries
* explain contemporary fragmentation and integration processes in different teritories
* provide an alternative interpretation of development in different territories
* evaluate the importance of governance and best practices
* explain the importance of public-private-partnership

Množství aktérů, kteří v současnosti ovlivňují lokální a regionální rozvoj, stále roste a stejně tak se mění způsoby, kterými je tento rozvoj ovlivňován. Tento předmět reaguje na potřebu seznámit posluchače s moderními alternativními přístupy k regionálnímu rozvoji, které si získávají stále větší pozornost. Důraz bude kladen nejen na teoretické aspekty problematiky, ale také na její praktické implikace. Zkušenosti s vyspělých zemí přitom budou konfrontovány s institucionálním prostředím post-tranzitivní ekonomiky.
