Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to to introduce students with the basic principles of institutional economics, transaction costs. On this basis, attention will be paid to the possible theories and practical approaches that are inspired institutional approaches. Introduction to the practice of the functioning of institutions that affect regional development and regional policy.

Summary

Ekonomie hlavního proudu se zabývá především působením „tvrdých“ faktorů na ekonomický rozvoj. S tímto aparátem se jen s obtížemi vyrovnává s objasněním takových jevů, jako jsou např. disparity v rozvoji států a menších územních celků. Institucionální ekonomie se snaží do zkoumání rozvoje zařadit i takové faktory, jako jsou právní řád, kultura v nejširším pojetí, tradice, historická zkušenost a další. Z tohoto přístupu vyplývá, že institucionální ekonomie se ve svých pracovních postupech silně dotýká i dalších vědních disciplín jako je právo, psychologie, historie, politologie a dalších. Její přístup pomáhá často vysvětlit jevy, které jsou ekonomii hlavního proudu nepostižitelné

- Introduction to basic principles of institutional economics - Institutions, transaction, transaction costs - Institutional approaches to explaining the formation and evolution of regional differences of innovation - Theory manufacturing districts, networking and regional rooting - The theory of learning regions - Criticism of the theory inspired by institutional economics - Practical introduction to the institutions by the central authorities (including the EU), local authorities, non-governmental institutions, companies
