Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main goal of human geography is to develop and expand students’ spatial understanding and geographical perspective of the social and economic landscape in terms of the location, arrangement and interaction by way of a research report that examines a selected aspect of the world macroregions. My research and teaching interests focus on comparative social, economic and regional development in the world, continents and countries. The basic work has been focused on political geography, population geography, economic geography, regional cooperation and the globalization of the economy and population development.

Summary

Cílem předmětu je poskytnutí základních znalostí o geografickém pozadí světové ekonomiky a rozšíření okruhu znalostí o ekonomické váze jednotlivých regionů světa. Tento kurz předává ekonomům potřebné znalosti z oblasti politické geografie, geografie obyvatelstva, ekonomické geografie, včetně současného obrazu států světa a významných integračních snah.
