Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Obtaining basic knowledge in theory, system and management methods focused on specific problems of regional and municipal management. Cognition of objectives, impositions and specifics of regional management; profile, knowledge needed and regional manager facilities. Adoption of basic process in applying tools, methods and techniques of regional management. Solving of case studies and examples from practical regional and municipal management in Czech Republic and European Union states.

Introduction to regional management. Genesis management theory, the role of management phenomenon in modern society. Manager, professional manager, specific requirements on manager. Strategic management, new paradigm, strategic management processes. Marketing management, marketing regions and municipalities - regional objectives and instruments of marketing. Specifics of the regional management - system, economic and social aspects. Management in public administration - the level of the state, regions, municipalities. Approaches, methods, tools and techniques of strategic regional management. The information and advice, statistical services, information systems and operation information in regional management. System and legislative framework for public administration or management. Regional management in the country. Current issues of regional management in the CR

Introduction to regional management. Genesis theory of management, the role of management in the phenomenon of modern society. Strategic Management, a new paradigm of strategic management processes. Marketing management, marketing regions and municipalities - objectives and instruments of regional marketing. Specifics of the regional management - system, economic and social aspects. Municipal (city) management. Management in public administration - the level of the state, regions, municipalities. Management in public services and nongovernmental organizations. Approaches, methods, tools and techniques of strategic regional management. Information and advice, statistical services, information systems and information service in regional management. System management and legislative framework of public administration or regional management in the country. Manager, professional manager, the specific requirements of regional, municipal manager. Managerial work ethic and its enforcement in practice. Formation of regional management in the CR as part of the reform of public administration. Current issues of regional management in the country.
