After attending this subject the student will be able to understand legal regulation of given topic and use gained knowledge and understanding to solve model situations.

Teaching methods



The subject belongs to the group of subjects interpreted special field of law. The aim is to collect and present to the students integrated and essential minimum of knowledge dealing with labour-law issues, clarify legal arrangement of wide social security system and explain basic orientation in this field of law.

1. Basic term of labour law - subject, sources and system - legal-labour facts, participants 2. Determination of employment - means of determination - employment contract 3. Change of employment - changes in employment - changes on employer´s side 4. Termination of employment - means of termination - collective redundancies of employees - invalidity of employment termination and its consequences 5. Working hours - working hours period - overtime work and night work, working emergency 6. Retirement periods - breaks, retirement between 2 shifts, week retirement - holidays 7. Wage and salary - function and forms of wage - rules of wage payment 8. Compensation for damage in labour relation - prevention - legal regulation - general responsibility for damage made by employee - types of special responsibility - execution of compensation demand 9.
