Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
1. To describe and explain non-economic integration activities of the EC/EU,
2. To identify the main milestones of integration process deepening,
3. To discuss economic and non-economic integration effects in the EC/EU,
4. To recognise bottlenecks and discordant issues of the EU integration process,
5. To evaluate regulation requirements on the supranational level.

Summary
The course deals with the European integration process. The focus is given to
the deepening of the European integration and enlargement of the European Union. Both processes are supplemented with the Czech Republic issues.

7.Foreign and security cooperation before the Maastricht Treaty. Westeuropean Union.
8.The second pillar of the EU.Common foreign and security policy.
9.The third pillar of the EU. Judicial and police cooperation. The Schengen Treaty.
10.Lisbon Treaty and reforms of the EU.
11.EU presidency and its role in the Council of the EU.
