Upon successful and active completion of the course: - student will be able to: • define the four freedoms of the internal market, • introduce the concept of intellectual property and its protection in internationally, • list and describe the forms of transnational companies, • define a socially responsible company, - student will be able to: • make a businesson the single internal market, • be employed in the single internal market, • defend the rights of consumers or employees in the single internal market, - student receives: • orientation to the functioning of the internal market, • picture of the activities of a socially responsible company.

Summary

The goal of the course is to complete the student's knowledge in the area of the internal market of the European Union The course begins with a historical introduction to the development of the complete internal market and the principles of its functioning. The fundamental part of the course focuses on the basic economic freedoms, i.e. the free movement of goods, persons, services and capital. Attention is also paid to European forms of commercial companies, as well as compliance with the rules of economic competition, but also the protection of intellectual property rights and consumer protection in the single internal market. The course also discusses the legal aspects of doing business in the internal market.

1. Introduction to the course. 2. Stages of the creation of a single EU internal market. Characteristics and principles of its functioning. 3. Free movement of goods. 4. Free movement of services. 5. Free movement of capital and payments. 6. Free movement of persons (the free movement of EU citizens, free movement of workers / job seekers). 7. Free movement of persons (free movement of individuals and legal persons in the implementation of freedom of establishment and the realization of the free movement of services). 8. Company law, Societas Europaea. 9. Corporate Social Responsibility. 10. Protection of economic competition in the EU. 11.
