1. To analyse global issues in context of current world events. 2. To comprehend measures of the international organizations targeting global issues. 3. To apply the knowledge on specific problems and events solution.

Teaching methods

Summary

The course introduces students to fundamental development tendencies of the globalization process, contemporary global issues and role of international organizations in a global world. The course explores causes and reviews of the potential solutions to the contemporary global crisis, examines various factors which affect the global issues.

Problém hladu. 6. Chudoba a lidský rozvoj. Zdraví a jeho sociálně-ekonomické souvislostí. 7. Mezinárodní společenství a boj s chudobou a zaostalostí. Rozvojová pomoc. Humanitární krize a humanitární pomoc. 8. Mezinárodní společenství a boj s chudobou a zaostalostí. Působnost Světové banky při řešení problému chudoby, zaostalosti a zadluženosti rozvojových zemí.. 9. Mezinárodní společenství a boj s chudobou a zaostalostí. OSN a její působnost v oblasti lidského rozvoje. 10. Mezinárodní společenství a boj s chudobou a zaostalostí. OSN a její působnost v oblasti lidského rozvoje. 11.
