Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Upon successful and active completion of the course:
-student will be able to:
• closer specify the business environment in the European Union,
• characterize the promotion of entrepreneurship in the European Union in the Czech Republic (including business support for small and medium-sized companies),
• list and describe the forms of transnational companies,
• define a socially responsible company,
• understand the problems of the single internal market,
- student will be able to:
• make a business in the EU,
• understand the issue of business support in the Czech Republic and
in the European Union,
- student receives:
• guidance in the business environment in individual countries of the European Union,
• an overview of aid within the European Union and the Czech Republic,
• orientation to the functioning of the internal market,
• picture of the activities of a socially responsible company.

Summary
The subject should complete the student's knowledge of business and its support within the European Union. The course will introduce the business environment in selected countries of the European Union, considerable attention is devoted to promoting business within the European Union and the Czech Republic (the emphasis is also put on supporting small and medium enterprises). Another part of the course focuses on additional topics related to this topic - e.g. a form of multinational companies and business ethics, respectively. corporate social responsibility, the single internal market, etc. In the course is also mentioned one of the European Union policy, “Industry and Business“.
