Summary

The course deals with integration processes in the world economy. The regional economic integration is being concerned in the main world regions - Europe, America, Africa and Asia. Relations with the European Union are tackled. Having the knowledge of the course the student should understand the European integration in the world context.

Theory of International Economic Integration - integration, economic integration, basic integration methods, motives, degrees, global and regional economic integration. 3. Prerequisites for regional integration co-operation in Europe - historical, political, economic, social and cultural assumptions from the end of the First World War to the present. The current position of the region in the world economy. 4. Regional integration cooperation in Western Europe - European Union, European Free Trade Association, European Economic Area - creation, formation, current depth and breadth of cooperation, perspectives for further development. 5. Regional Integration Cooperation in Central Europe - Central European Free Trade Area - formation, formation, current depth and breadth of cooperation, perspectives for further development. 6. Regional Integration Cooperation in Eastern Europe - Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Economic Union - emergence, formation, current depth and breadth of cooperation, perspectives for further development. 7.
