Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

1. To describe the development and the state of the art of EU regional policy, its mechanisms and tools. 2. To explain the methodology and options of the use of EU strustural funds and other instruments in the regional development and their application under the condition of the Czech Republic. 3. To apply the knowledge gained for the solution of issues of EU social and economic cohesion.

Summary

The aim is to familiarize students with the basic configuration and development of regional policy of the European Union and selected Member States. Students will be familiar with the operation of mechanisms and instruments of EU regional policy, the methodology and the potential use of the Structural Funds and other instruments in regional development and their application in the CR and will be prepared to solve problems within the issue of socio-economic cohesion (cohesion) of the European Union in the master's degree level.
